What is this entschlafen formula?

Death records in the mid 1700s in Oberhoffen-sur-Moder, Alsace used a formula that looks something like 'ist in dem Herrn serl[ich] entschlaffen' to say 'died', but I can't figure out the 'Herrn serl' part of the expression -- any suggestions? Thanks!

    The formula is:

    ist in dem Herrn seelig entschlafen or ist im Herrn seelig entschlafen

    Translation: has blessedly fallen asleep in the Lord
