Need help with mother's maiden name for Ottilie Mertin

Hi,

I have 2 documents for the marriage of Ottilie Mertin to Reinhard Wollenberg. One doc is the marriage certificate from Wisconsin and the other is the church record.

I need help with reading the maiden name of Ottilie's mother. One record gives her first name as Ottilie and the church record it looks like her first name if Juliane. I read her maiden name as either Hatt or Halt.

None of these documents are on-line.

Hello Myke,

In the first image I read: Ottilie Hatt.

In the second image I read: Juliane Hatt.

In both images the respective scribes make their lower case letter "l" with distinctive loops, which are not present in the double "t" in the surname "Hatt".
