Translate and Difference between where the parents are "living" and where the child is born?
In this marriage record, it sites a birth place of "Brachamt" or some variation for what I believe is the birth place of the bride. I tried finding it in Meyers but was unsuccessful. Any ideas?
Also in christening records, it often gives the father's place of residence but then says "gehören" another place. Would the "gehören" represent where he works?
Here is my best translation of the attached marriage record, could you please add/correct?

I agree with @Robert Seal_1 that the place name is probably Brockum; note that none of the vocals looks like an "a" and that there is no lower loop which would be necessary for an "h".
Regarding "Schmalen Stedt", there were farms in the area named "Schmale" (https://mi.westfalenhoefe.de/doku.php?id=wiki:espelkamp_vehlage_hoefe).

"Brachamt" might be Brockum, which is approximately 8 miles northwest of Vehlage: https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10243050

Robert - Thank you. That's a very good observation, as the priests often spell the words the way they say them. I can tell when one has a different accent by the way that they spell names like Vabbenstadt for Fabbenstadt.

Thank you both! I'm thinking that when it says "nach Levern", maybe it's like saying that the place is "near Levern", because Levern is a larger town that people know.
