Reposting Request: Translation/Transcription of marriage records for Joanna and Anna Meyer
The marriage record #236 for Anna Meyer and Joannes Moser is next to a marriage record #241 for Joanna? Meyer and Laurentius? Huber? The text of the marriages run into each other. I think they say the betrothals were in Gerweil/Gorweil, but these marriages are in the Birndorf records. Gorweil church records do not have these entries. Both marriages mention that the women are from another town, might be two different towns. So the entries might be in that other town or towns, but I can't decipher the handwriting.
Also, all the other marriages on these pages involve people who were from other towns, but all were married in Birndorf (except possibly Anna).
As I read it, Joanna's engagement was 26 May 1753 in Gorweil and marriage celebrated in Birndorf in June. Is this correct?
And, Anna's engagement was 27 Jan 1753 in Gorweil and marriage 5 Feb 1753, celebrated where?
I know Joannes Moser was from Birndorf. It seems weird that the betrothals would be in a village, Gorweil, that neither party was from. Ditto Joanna. However, my interpretations may be incorrect. Any thoughts?
Anna Meyer is my brick wall. I am hoping to know what village Anna was from so I can search for more records. If Anna's record doesn't help, I am hoping Joanna's record will assist.
I've attached two copies of the records, one is the full page and the other is a snip of the two marriages.
Thank you so much for help with these questions and requests.
