could the town be Triboltingen?

I don't think it is a name of a town. I looks like "tritentoni".

This is probably way off base, but I thought I'd ask, since the word begins with "tri" meaning three, and is preceded by "forma." Could it be a reference to the three types (or forms) of Catholic marriages?
Also, there is in Canon Law regarding marriage a term "ratum tantum." Since the handwriting isn't very legible, I wonder if that might be part of the unknown word.
Ulrich, I'm sure you see lots of Catholic marriage records. If this phraseology isn't common, then it might refer to a circumstance of the marriage, such as a marriage between a Catholic and a non-Catholic, which requires a dispensation, but there are other circumstances as well.
Or, just a thought, it might simply be the text that particular priest uses when recording marriages. Laura, you might look at other marriages on the same page, or near this one, and see if the same text is in them, if they are written or signed by the same priest. If not, then there must be something different about this marriage. Then google Canon Law regarding marriages and see if any of the conditions fit your couples' circumstances. Just a suggestion.
All best, Elizabeth

I think the missing word is "tridentina" or similar (cf. Tridentine Mass). "Forma tridentina" refers to the act of marriage according to the canon law (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_law). Don't ask me the details, I am not a catholic priest or lawyer....

thank you for your comment. Will look on the same page to see how other marriage records are written.

The Tridentine Mass is a Mass said in Latin, which fits the time of this record. Based on Ulrich's latest post, here is a possibility: In the three forms of the Catholic marriage rite, according to Canon Law, one is with a Mass and another is without. Sounds to me like this marriage ceremony may have been done with the saying of a Nuptial Mass. Perhaps this was the norm in the area and time where this marriage occurred. Perhaps not. If not, then figuring out why, might give you some insight into who this groom and bride were as people or their place in the society. Or it may simply have been that priest's way of recording the marriage.
