I am trying to figure out where Mittel Dorffel is. I can't find anything about it around Kehl, Germ

Huhn's link isn't working. It alsways says 'invalid session'. I included the original entry from Archion for you if needed.

" Mittel Doerffel" is a dialectical diminutive form of the name Mitteldorf. According to this listing https://www.deutsche-digitale-bibliothek.de/item/TS2LI7M5LDSSEN7NCWY7XKMV5ABOSARZ, Mitteldorf was also known as Jeri[n]gheim. Other websites also mention Irigheim and Ir[c]kheim as variants.
This article https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5NVW1_mitteldorf?guid=1f255ea2-d871-4d3a-925c-6a32374c4e32 states that the villages Mitteldorf and Irckheim were still mentioned in local records in 1698, but were later incorporated into the town of Kehl.

That's wonderful information. A few questions about the sites. I tried to navigate the first by searching for Mitteldorf but didn't see what I was looking for. How does it work?
Also, the geocaching site, do you need to be a member? Does it operate as a gazetteer?

Also now I understand why I keep seeing references to Kehl-Dorf which is a combination of Kehl and Mitteldorf

The first site is the catalog of the German Digital Library. The catalog entry includes the cited reference. The Geo-caching site appears to be a site that archives geographical descriptions found on other web pages at some point.
