Have you obtained a copy of his will? This appears to be the record:
Probate does not appear to have been granted until 1979. You can obtain a copy after registering at https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills.
Sorry, I just noticed this is just an Administration record. so he appears to have died intestate. There will probably be little detail on the document, except perhaps the name of the person granted administration rights.

I just took a look at FreeBMD website and found marriages for a Charles D Savage in 1955 and 1973 - could be for totally unrelated persons, of course. Also, there is the death of a Charles David Savage (also registered at Wandsworth), but for a person born in 1898 and died in 1984.

We are grateful for the help offered.
We have put together some information on Mr. Savage from correspondence between his son Brian and the Lawyers in London who handled his Estate. Hope this will help find more information. Charles (Carlos) David Savage was born 10 December 1911 in Guatemala, died 4 November 1977 in London. He had dual citizenship with Guatemala and Great Brition. He left Guatemala to join the Royal Air Force. After the War he returned to Guatemala divorced his wife Ana Marta Adelina Milla Padilla, then returned to London. Mr. Savage had two sons and one daughter at the time. His Father was David McCuen Savage who we believe to have been the English Vice Council to Guatemala. We hope to find his grave location and more information on his life during his time in London.
