Need help to read the correct birthdate for Gustav Ernst Rosenthal
Hello! I am so thankful for your help! I have a research confusion. There are multiple copies of a marriage record for Gustav Ernst Rosenthal and Else Marie Martha Emler. Both records are indexed as the marriage taking place on 22 December 1922, but one show Gustave Ernst Rosenthal being born on the 13 May 1891 and the other says he was born on the 20 May 1893. I am wondering if there is a chance that it was just the difference in indexing. I have found a birth record that shows parents for a Gustave Ernst Rosenthal born on 13 May 1891, but I am hesitant to add those parents until I verify that he really was born on 13 May 1891.

All three records show Gustav being born 13 May 1891. The third record you posted is for his first marriage, which ended in divorce on 1 July 1920.

Thank you soooo much for your help! I thought it was so weird that the indexing showed different birthdays for the same man and I thought if he has the other birthrate, I wouldn't use the birth certificate for him or add those parents to him. I can't thank you enough and am sooo grateful to know about the divorce as well. I wondered if they got a divorce but I just wasn't sure. You are so kind to look at these for me! Thank you!

I also just found this other marriage record for a Gustav Ernst Rosenthal about 6 years earlier, I believe born 13 Mai 1891. I am trying to figure out if he was married before he married Else Marie Martha Emler--do the other marriage records show he was a widower?
