Translation request for a baptism please - 1851
Hello again,
The attached copy is from a microfiche, so I cannot provide a link to a better digital file. I can read the majority of the information here, but it is written in Latin, which I cannot read, and in cursive with a hint of old German penmanship. Dated sometime in 1851, it is just the third baptismal entry in the book from St Anne Catholic Church, in St Anna WI. It appears to be a child of Jean Georges Stengel and his wife Elizabeth Hamm Stengel. This child was previously unknown to my family, and came as a complete surprise to me as I searched for clues to what happened to this child's parents and siblings after they arrived and settled in Calumet County WI prior to the 1850 US Census for that place. Any and all assistance in understanding this record is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Mark Bauernfeind

I see it as:
On the 26th of April, 1851 A.D. was baptised Anna Catharina Stengel, the legitimate daughter of Joannis George Stengel and Elisabetha Hamm, born on the 15th of April 1851. Sponsors of the child: George Stengel and Anna Catharina Gross.

Thank you very much for your quick response! Interesting note to this record is that the mother, Elizabeth, was almost 46 years old. I have found her birth record in Alsace, in the Bas-Rhin archives.
