Translation request for a marriage --Hoffman
This 1688 record found at bottom of the image--after what I think is the date and scripture wording I see: Johan Peter legitimate son of Hans Hoffman from Bersally????? and Anna Magdalena daughter of (Zu Sch?????) are married ---
These latest records are found in Schweighausen Bechein, Hessen-Nassau on archion website.
I certainly need your expertise in reading these records. Thanks for all the time you give.

Anna Magdalena's maiden surname is: Heier. Her father is Tönges Heier.
This still looks like a marriage proclamation record rather than the actual marriage record but at least you now have a maiden surname for Anna Magdalena.
Translation:
On the second, third, and fourth Sundays after Epiphany, Joh. Peter Hoffmann, legitimate son of Hans Hoffman at Becheln, and Anna Magdalena, legitimate daughter of Tönges Heier here, were called up.
My comments: I assume by "called up" is meant that the couple's forthcoming marriage was proclaimed in church on those three successive Sundays.
I have also seen in these parish records the surname "Heier" spelled as "Heÿer", so look for both spellings.

Hello Trish,
I think the line with the date before the phrase "Dom. 2, 3 et 4" belongs to the preceding record. Since this record is at the bottom of the page, please check the top of the next page to see if there is a marriage date there.
I think this is a marriage proclamation record because there are three dates at the beginning of the record and marriage proclamations were usually made three times.
The record begins:
On the second, third and fourth Sundays past Epiphany . . .
Epiphany is always 6 January. In 1688 the second, third, and fourth Sundays after Epiphany were: 18 January, 25 January, and 1 February respectively. Since marriages took place on or after the third proclamation, this marriage took place in February 1688.
There's one word in the first line which I am not familiar with. It's in the middle of the first line after the word "sind" and looks like "uffgeruffen". I think this word might be "aufgerufen" which translates as: called or invoked.
Translation:
On the second [18 Jan 1688], third [25 Jan 1688] , and fourth [1 Feb 1688] Sundays after Epiphany, [marriage proclamations] have been called [for] Johan Peter, legitimate son of Hans Hoffman at Becheln and Anna Magdalena. The marriage is at Schweighausen.
My comment: What is strange is that there is no information provided about the bride's father.

Her maiden name is what I am looking for as she remarried after his death which only provided her first marriage name.
The next page in the record goes directly into the next year. I found two children from this first marriage but I do not recognize her maiden name on them.

I found the page of copulations--the heading has no marriages under the 1688 and 1689 years.

Note the following: The original record you posted ends with the phrase: The marriage is at Schweighausen.
I do not have an Archion subscription but I was able to determine from the Archion site that there are separate parish registers for "Schweighausen" and "Schweighausen Becheln". Have you looked in both sets of registers?
