Translation of the first record:
Greifenstein, on the 25th of January [1740] the married couple Anthon [Anton] Me(t)z and his wife Anna Christina had a young son baptized, who was born on the 22nd of January [1740]. Baptismal sponsors were Johann Henrich Ülmer and Anna Catharina Carl(e). The child was called Johann Henrich.
Translation of the second record:
Birth and baptismal dates: Greifenstein, born 19 July [1746], baptized 24 [July 1746].
Parents: Anthon [Anton] Metz and Anna Christina, married couple, had a daughter baptized.
Baptismal sponsor: Maria Christina, wife of Henrich Ülmer.
Child: Maria Christina.
