Parents: Johann Anthonius [Anton] Metz and Anna Christina, married couple here, had a son baptized.
Witnesses: Philipp Fries, Philipp Gottfried [blank space for his last name?], Maria Margaretha Carl(e), and Johannettha Erb?, all from here.
Child's name: Johann Philipp.
Translation of the death record:
Greifenstein, on the 22nd of March [1781] Johann Philipps Metz, surviving son of Johann Anton Metz, died, and on the 24th of March [1781] was buried. Age 28 years, 8 months, and 2 days.
Comment: His recorded age at death is incorrect and should be: 28 years, 9 months, and 2 days.
