Baptismal sponsors were Philipß Conrad Frieß?, Jacob Wilhelm Metzger, Johann Wilhelm Klang's wife, and Maria Catharina Schneider; the child was called: [blank].

My assumption would be that these are two distinct surnames and are not interchangeable per se.

Would Metzger be a derivative of Metz? I am thinking it isn't. I have seen the name often in my searching.
Thank you for translating these unnamed baptisms. No other children deaths were found or possible names in confirmation records. I will do a second search as time allows.
