I have a question about a death record.
Hello,
I am looking at a death record for Catharina #1 on left side of page. Is her last name Mayer?
She is illegitimate but it looks like her father Johannes came forward. Can you tell me what it says about him after his and his father's name? Does he give permission to use his name? Does it say where he is from?
Thank you

The child is recorded as: "Catharina Majerin, unehelich." = Catharina Majer(in), illegitimate.
This is what it says about her father in the parents' column:
Johannes, the legitimate son of the citizen and pensioner Johannes Majer in Baldingen near Nördlingen.
Comment: Since the child is recorded using the father's surname, you can probably assume that he gave permission to use his name, even though the record does not say that explicitly.
