This is the marriage record for my 5th great grandparents! Johann Joachim Rudoph and Maria Elisabeth Eichler who were married in Dreba in 1774.

There are some abbreviations I am unfamiliar with and maybe some Latin?

1. Johann Joachim Rudolph, young man, "N."? and inhabitant here, surviving legitimate eldest son of the late Johann Joachim Rudolph, former "N."? and inhabitant as well as mayor here, and Miss Maria Elisabeth Eichler, legitimate only daughter of Hannß Georg Eichler, "N."? and inhabitant at Linda, after three proclamations on Easter Monday [4 April 1774], Quasimodogenti Sunday [10 April 1774], and Misericordia Sunday [17 April 1774] in the current year and after church attendance and a wedding sermon, were solemnly and publicly married in the local church on the 21st of April [1774]. My comments: The abbreviation "N." might stand for Nachbar = neighbor, resident.

The proclamations were held on Church feast days. There are usually three marriage proclamations made on the three Sundays before the actual marriage. In this case, because Easter Sunday is such an important feast day of the Church, the first proclamation was made on the Monday after Easter rather than on Easter Sunday. Then the second and third proclamation were made on the respective subsequent Sundays.
