Clarification and seeking translation--Frieß
A previous marriage record I just reread and realized there was a child born before the marriage: it read this--"5 December on Wednesday at the monthly hour of prayer, after the baptism of a little son, Philip Conrad Frieß and Catharina Elisabeth Roman were married after three-times proclamation here in Greifenstein. 1714"
This is that record--please look at the last record of 1714 for the child Phillipp Conrad born nov 29 and baptism December 5. I recognize the parent names in the witness column. Please translate this record as I don't exactly understand what is recorded here . Who are the parents of this child? Thank you

The December 5 marriage record simply states that they were married after the baptism of "a son" so it's easy to interpret that as "their son." But it could also be interpreted as someone else's son, given the other baptism on the same date.

Trish, can you please post a larger image of the section you want translated? It gets too fuzzy when I enlarge the full image. Thanks!

This marriage record didn't mean they had a child prior to marriage?? Attaching original image here of translation above--The minister was simply recording the marriage followed a baptism of a child not theirs and they were witnesses? or visa versa. ( very confusing documentation).
both are Dec 5, 1714 dates
