Birth status

Hello -- I'm currently researching an individual, Maria Busch, who was born in Kaiserslautern on 29 May 1869 to Ludwig and Salome (Diehl) Busch. I've found birth records related to siblings, wedding and birth records for parents but nothing for Maria. Any explanations or suggestions?

Perhaps the family was living in a different village when Maria was born? Or could the date of birth be incorrect?

Where is Maria in the birth order of the children? If she's the first, it's possible that she was born before the parents were married. Check a year or two before the parents' marriage date. Also, sometimes church registers put illegitimate births in a separate register or at the back of the register, rather than sequentially with the rest, so check that possibility as well.

Parents - Ludwig Busch and Salome Diehl Busch were married in 1867. Maria was born on 29 May 1869. Her siblings -- Katharine born in 1873, twin brothers Ludovicus and Ludwig in 1876.

I check as you suggest to see what I can find.
