How do we know the real location for the Brenner collection?
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:7NTN-L22M
For Regina Barbara Nieberlein
The event (when expanded) says it is in Diebach, Ansbach, Mittelfranken, Bayern, Deutschland. Diebach, Neustadt an der Aisch, Germany would make makes more sense if these names are really in my family. The original record just says Diebach.
How are we to know which one it really is?

Hello Jill,
There are two places in Mittelfranken, Bavaria, named Diebach which could be included in the Brenner Collection:
From Meyers Gazetteer:
(1) https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10340004 This Diebach is about 32 miles north of Ansbach.
(2) https://www.meyersgaz.org/place/10340005 This Diebach is about 18 miles west of Ansbach.
There is nothing in your record from the Brenner Collection which indicates which Diebach this is. Until you find further evidence you will need to keep both options open. However, it seems based on your previous research you have some indication that the Diebach for your family is the Diebach close to Neustadt.

You're welcome, Jill. This was a good question. I worked on this for quite a while this morning and in the end I could not determine which Diebach this was.

Thank you for your work! I am trying to figure out the father, Johann Michael Nieberlein's three marriages with conflicting births of the children and if there is really another Johann Michael Nieberlein. I will post a new question if you want to look into it anymore.
