Jacob C. Loose, son of Jacob Loose and Anna nee Reichert, was born on 12 August in the year 1900 in the town of Kraft, Russia. There he was dedicated to the Lord with the sacrament of holy baptism. In the year 1911 he came as a child with his parents to America, where the family settled in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and has lived in this area ever since. On 14 December of the year 1919 he married Katherina Weimer under the administration of Pastor Pfenning. The Lord blessed this marriage with four children, of which one preceded the father in death. During the last years of his life, the deceased suffered greatly with heart problems, which brought with it other weakness due to illness. In the past year he had to stop farming entirely. On Sunday morning, 4 November 1962, he was brought to the hospital in Fort Morgan. On the evening of the same day he left this life. His pilgrimage lasted 62 years, 2 months, and 22 days. Grieving for him are his wife, Katherina; 1 daughter, Violet Uhrig from Flemming, Colorado; 2 sons, Edward from Fort Morgan, and Melvin from Cheyenne, Wyoming; 5 sisters, Mollie Nelms and Katherine Gettman from Denver, and Anna Dorn, Esther Lind, and Marie Michael, all three from Fort Morgan; 3 brothers, George from Greeley, Carl from Brush, and Daniel in Montana; 1 stepsister Mollie Schlothauer from Denver; 3 stepbrothers, Charles and Reinhart Weimer, both from Fort Morgan, and David Weimer from Hudson; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. May our loving Father of comfort bring all those who grieve into His healing presence. The funeral will be held on 2 November 1962 at the Congregational Christus parish.
