Jacob C. Weimer saw the light of the world in Kraft, Russia on 20 September 1895 as the son of the married couple Karl Weimer and his wife Katherine nee Sigwart. In 1905 he came with his parents to Canada and later to the area of Ft. Morgan. He spent the most recent years in Brush. On 20 August 1916 he married Lydia Reichert and God blessed their union with three children, one of which predeceased the father. Two years ago his health began to decline, but he bore his sorrows with patience. On 12 November this year he was brought to the hospital in Brush, where he died on 13 November 1957. His pilgrimage was 62 years, one month, and 23 days in length. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Widerspahn of Ft. Morgan and Mrs. Nancy Gimble of Brush; 5 grandchildren; three brothers: Dave from Hudson, Charles and [Riney?] from Ft. Morgan; a sister, Mrs. Molly Schlottauer from Denver; his stepfather, Jacob C. Loose from Ft. Morgan; two half-sisters Mrs. Esther Lind and Mrs. Marie Michal from Ft. Morgan; a half-brother Dan Loose from Billings, Montana; 3 step-sisters, Mrs. Molly Nelms from Denver, Mrs. Anna Dorn and Mrs. Kate [Geteman?] of Ft. Morgan; 3 step-brothers, Jake Loose from Ft. Morgan, Carl Loose from Brush, and George Loose from Sterling and many friends. May the God of all comfort be near to those grieving.
