Would someone please help with the attached obituary (mortuary notice) for George Ritter from the Reading Adler (Der Readinger Adler) newspaper?

As I understand, it reads: "Died – last Friday, George Ritter, at the age of 75 years 10 months, an old and very popular inhabitant of Exeter Township, in this county – On Sunday, his body, under a numerous escort, was laid to rest on his (canvas)." The word "canvas" is from Google Translate, but it doesn't make sense.

Your translation is almost perfect. The word "Plantasche" is probably an unusually written form of "Plantage" = plantation, farm
