this is what I read:

Dear mother, we wish you a happy birthday.

I wanted to write for a long time, but many of our family were not well.

We have recovered so far, except for the little ones.

They still have the cough.

What did Heindrich and Anna and all the others do?

We will wait until October.

He wanted to come up.

Then they also come along and stay here for quite a while.

Many greetings from all of us to you from Franzen and Ida.

Could the "October" sentence possibly be: "We are waiting for Atur." (I think there is a first name Atur or it could be an altenative spelling of Arthur?)

After having a second look

... Alle wier lauern auf Arturen er wollte ... = ... we all are waiting for Artur ...

WOW! Thank you! Arthur is my great grandfather! My great-great-grandma, Caroline, was living with Arthur after her husband, Johann, passed away in 1910.
