This record is Film #105485797, Image 42 of 45. (Germany, Lutheran Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, 1500 - 1971) Number 18 shows Friedrich Babbel. I am wondering if this record shows any more information than what was indexed. (Death date: 25 Mar 1860, Father's name: Georg Babbel, Event Type: Burial, Date: 28 Mar 1860, Event Place: Georgenburg, Insterburg, Ostpreussen, Preussen, Deutschland, Event Place original: , , Maevka u Obehlischken, OstPreussen, Deutschland, Church Name: Evangelische Kirche Georgenburg (Kr. Insterburg)
Is there any reference to a spouse or children?
Many Thanks,
Nancy Crawford

No spouse or children given. It gives his place of residence as Ackmenischken.

It also gives the occupation of the father and cause of death but I cannot decipher them.

I couldn't make out the father's occupation either, but the cause of death is Scharlach - scarlet fever. There are numerous other cases of scarlet fever on the same page, so it must have been going around the town at that point.

The occupation is Losmann, see:

Georg Babbel's occupation is not Losmann - it's something that ends in -ick but it's hard to make out the first letters because it was written over.
