Colonel Wilheim Christman & Frederic the Great
I have a picture of a man in a uniform purported to be Colonel Wilheim Christman. It is claimed by some of his descendants that he was sent by King Frederick II, Frederic the Great, to investigate the feasibility of establishing or perhaps invading and conquering an established colony in America. In order to keep his mission secret, Colonel Christman, a widower, and his three sons came to America disguised as deck hands; he eventually returned to Europe with his youngest son.
Is there a database that shows portraits of military officers of Frederic the Great and gives information about them such as date of birth, place of birth, name of wife, name of children, etc.?
