Death indication
In searching for further life details with no success on Catherina Margretha Neuhard I resorted to looking for her confirmation record. Could you explain the cross indication on this page? I have not found a death record for this year. Is this not what the notation is implying? Thank you.
Here is the image link if more clarity is needed.

Here in Belgium or the Netherlands it would imply that a priest was present at or around the time of dying and the person has received the last rites and Sacraments/ointment ,...the actual day of death can differ from the day of Last Rites performed. Annotations like the above ,for obvious reasons are found in Churchbooks , not in civil files.

The notation above the name says that no children from here were confirmed in 1773. But then it lists not one, but two other names for +1772 (Neuhard and Schauß), so I'm wondering if, in this case, the + doesn't mean "deceased" but rather an oops - these names were supposed to be included in 1772 but were forgotten. Look back at the 1772 list of confirmands and see if a + appears anywhere to indicate that more names were added below.

There is a + in the 1772 confirmands list. Thank you for pointing that out. Also for translating the other name below. I didn't recognize as Schaus.
