Easy Invitations....
I've personally tried to use the Easy Invitation section for members in my Ward. I've even tried to invite a member friend while we were sitting next to each other on our own laptops. I have looked up and read the article explaining how to use Easy Invitation and called the FamilySearch help line where the missionaries I've talked with didn't even know that function was there. I still can't get it to work! Frustrating!
- Has anyone out there ever successfully used the "Easy Invitation" feature successfully?
- Why aren't ALL the members of the ward listed? I know 2 members that are not listed that have their own FS account & current Temple recommends...( my husband and a member of the Bishopric.
- Why do some have icon tiles for "Ordinances", "Sources hints" & "Activity", yet others will only have an "Activity" icon, or "Ordinances" and "Activity" but no "Sources" ( really? That's hard to believe!).
Any and all help will be appreciated!

I, too, have struggled with the Easy Invitation application. I have sent out invitation emails, but have never received any confirmation of receipt; that isn't, however, proof that they aren't being sent and received but rather could mean that the individual has ignored the invitation. My frustration is that the icons (Temple, Hints, Discoveries, etc) are not consistent. One day it will show icons in for each category, the next day icons will disappear--and it's the entire icon series for every member listed. Just thought of something; I'm going to go into it and use myself as a target and see if I get the email notification. I'll report back.

OK, I went out and did some playing with it, and it worked for me. Here is what I did:
- Find individual you desire to communicate with and identify the category (ies) of assistance available (Temple, Hints, Discoveries).
- Click on the "Link" icon (far left icon); computer should state "copied/placed on clipboard)
- Go to your email program (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, etc) that you routinely use
- Open a new email
- Enter the email address for the individual whose Easy Invitation you are working; get email address from ward directory in ChurchofJesusChrist.org
- In text of your new email, paste link from clipboard (I use "Control V" or "right click and paste")
- Complete the remainder of your email text inviting them to review, and then follow up with them via text or phone call.

I have used this feature successfully in the past. I have found that it helps to let the people know that it will be coming. Then they can choose to respond to the invitation, or not, but at least they will be aware of how it can work. Most have responded positively.
