Search function in document added to Memories section
The search function for a 69 page PDF document added to the memories section is wonky. Here's what I see:
Here's another result with the highlighted name completely hidden from view.
The search box covers text and I can't figure out how to minimize it. I can close it by clicking on the Search icon, but that closes the search function and removes the highlighting. But I can't find a way to minimize the Search box while also keeping the highlighting active. I also haven't figured out why the first result shown to me isn't 1 of 42, but 30 of 42, nor can I figure out how I can backtrack to see the first result. I can only go forward by clicking the "enter" key, which means I have to cycle all the way through to get to the beginning.
Can this be addressed and corrected, please? TIA!

I don't have any PDFs uploaded to Memories to try this out on, but I'm pretty sure FS hasn't made its own PDF viewer -- are you sure it isn't your browser being weird?

Yes, this is Firefox's PDF viewer that FamilySearch just makes use of. Is the search option new? You are right that it doesn't display quite right with the biggest problem being that the next result and previous result buttons are not displaying. I found them accidentally as I was hovering around the the page:
You can click in the grey area to go to the next match or just to the left to find the previous match:
As far as the search box covering the result, the text page scrolls just fine with the search box open. Just move onto the page and scroll or use the scroll bars:
The only time this would be a problem would be if the first search result was at the very top of the page on the left. But then you would not need to search for it.
I usually use Safari, so I checked out a PDF document I use often in Firefox and found that on my Mac, the Firefox PDF search is nicely out of the way at the bottom of the page:
But that really isn't an option the way the Firefox PDF viewer is incorporated into the Memory page rather than just taking over the whole page.
But I think you will find it works OK when you use the invisible arrows along with scrolling the page. Playing around, I found the Highlight All option to be very useful.
It would be good if they could figure out why those two arrows are invisible and fix that.

Thanks @Gordon Collett for the useful tips! Weird that the arrows are invisible. No wonder I couldn't figure it out.
