Need Clarification of wife's first husband's last name.
This is a Catholic marriage record in latin from Schwarzach, Baden for Joannes Michael Schell (here they spell it Scholl) and Anna Maria Zimmer the 14 Nov 1689, top of left hand side, p. 84, image 135 on film # 999037. Anna Maria Zimmer passes away and Joannes Michael Schell remarries again in September of 1692, same page.
I got the whole thing except for her first husband's last name, vidua relicta Joannes Petri _ _ enberger????
Any suggestions would be most appreciated to get me going again.
Thank you in advance.

How about Ahenberger?

Look at the capital "A" in the name "Anna" in the next record. The formations of the initial capital in the surname and in "Anna" are different.

And look at the A in August on the next page - also different. In looking at all the different A variations in Edna Bentz's book, I just thought it might be a possibility. The best thing to do would be to look at other entries in the register to see if the name appears more clearly somewhere else. The marriage records for this town go back to 1613, so it's quite possible that the first marriage record can be found.

Thank you Robert Seal and sylvaelchinger1. I will give anything and everything a try. I really don't think the Zimmer family is from this area. So I may be going to a neighboring town. Thank you again. Have a great day!

Yes, @sylviaelchinger1, looking at the Bentz book examples of "A" , I agree that this could be an "A".
