What town is this?

Hi all. After having this record for years, I finally realized there is a town listed for the birthplace of my ancestor. These are 2 different versions of the marriage record for Frederick Schnell and Sofia Arnz. Every other record I have for Frederick only says he was born in "Mecklenburg." One of the records transcribed the birthplace as "Ceusow." Another transcription shows "Crusow." I looked this up on Meyes Gazetteer and there isn't a match for either of those. There is a Crussow but it is in Pruessen. There's a Grüssow, Kraase, Krassow, and Kriesow in Mecklenburg . Any ideas on how to identify the town? Thanks.

For reference, this marriage took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Krassow matches nicely since it is often spelled with a C rather than a K. But there are no Schnell's in the 1819 census for Crassow:

Your Friedrich Schnell was probably born after 1819 but his father is likely listed in whatever town he lived in.

If you have your Friedrich Schnell's exact birth date you have a good chance of finding his birth record. But without an exact birthdate I suspect you'll find a number of Friedrich Schnells of the right age group whose father is also Friedrich Schnell.

So I've got a probable birth date for Fredrich Schnell. I say probably because it is based on his death record which lists his age at death as 78y1m13d.

A date calculator shows his DOB as 24 Jan 1821. Would you be able to see if there is birth record in Grussow for him?
