Can someone please help with a translation of the attached church book entry for the death of Pierre Gueffroy in 1753 in Bergholz, Germany.

Hello @RobMay. This is not a complete translation, but here is what I read – Hope this helps!

Friday the 24th of August 1753 (something something) at two o’clock in the afternoon (something, something – the second word may be après = after) a sickness of 4 weeks died at Bergholtz Pierre Guefroi, (the next word is probably his trade or profession – I read Cofsete – but that does not make any sense to me) of said place, age (here your inspiration is probably better than mine, my first impression was 59, but I could also see 89) 6 months and a few days, was buried in the cemetery of said place Sunday Aug 26 (the rest might just be the time of burial, but I am not sure. The last word is midi = noon, and at the beginning of that line is the word heures = hours or o’clock)
