trying to find my half sister

My situation is my Dad has passed and his first wife had a child, who would be my half sister.

She might be alive. Her mother's name is Marquerite Woerth. married in 1946. Polk county. Where should I look?

I would start with looking for your dad in the 1950 cen. If separated by then look for her mother in 1950 cen. using both maiden and married names. If she has passed away try find a grave to look for kin. Please let us know how it goes. If you need further information just let us know.
