Can zoom level be set when entering coordinates for a place in a profile?

Just wondering how or if possible to set zoom level when entering Lat., Long. coordinates for a place in a profile? It might help with viewing the pinpointed location to just zoom to the highest/nearest zoom level possible? If highest zoom is not the default - the search can become more confusing with all the pins on the map. That or else make the specific coordinate pin - with crosshair more visible?

Yes you can do this. Here is an example. This was from a test site, please dont change this for Seattle.

Example 1: Seattle, Washington: For some reason the pin shows on Bainbridge Island.  We can even see from the place map this is wrong:

A simple way to fix this is to use the pencil icon to Edit Seattle, select the location from map by moving the pin. 

Example:  Click on the pencil icon to Edit Seattle (just below the map, lower right corner).

To move the pin: Click on the button: Select the location from map by moving the pin.  

From here you can just click on the RED pointer, and move it. If you want, you can also enlarge the map by clicking on the enlarge icon:  "+"

Which test site was this on?

I do not see the same options in FamilySearch Places.

Is this a test for future feature enhancement?

Although a great answer - the current behavior in FamilySearch Places does not function as outlined by Russell above.

Currently when you click the Edit pencil (Improve This Place), you are directed to Suggest an Improvement dialogue. None of the options allow you to 'change the map'.

So this question remains unanswered. There has been no response to where this 'test site' exists - it is not on beta; it is not in Solutions gallery (just takes you to the main app). So I have no idea where Russell's solution resides.

At @ 8:09 minutes into this video, Dan starts to talk about finding places within a place.

At @10:36 minutes into it, I think cover your question. He talks about using a Pin, and searching within it.

If you paste the Lat., Long into the search places field you can do the same thing. Along with circle and changing the area of search, to see each pin, you can just zoom in with your mouse roller.
