Historical Medical Records for Bavo Kliniek Noordwijkerhout
Hi would anybody be able to direct me on how to go about obtaining historical medical records for a member of my family who was a patient at the Bavo Kliniek in Noordwijkerhout. The patient resided there from about 1935 till deceased in 1952. The asylum has since been closed. Thanks in Advance, Lisa

The Dutch wikipedia page for this institution (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sint_Bavo_(Noordwijkerhout) says it was run by the Catholic Church. Therefore I suggest contacting the archives of the Catholic Diocese of Haarlem-Amsterdam. The page also mentions a recently published book about Sint Bavo, so you could try contacting the author.

Apparently the institution was was founded and owned and operated by the Brothers Of Charity of Venray. As a Catholic organisation they worked under the umbrella of Rome, having a Vatican chair there (and today still do) they were a very strong congregation.Their today's general superior is Reneé Stockman (born in Assenede, as i am.
Via Delpher (a search engine searching magazine's and printed old papers) ,... => search term Sint Bavo Noordwijkerhout, this article(you can fully strip the snips in a translator) to read the piece about the Brothers from Venray and Noordwijkerhout and the housemoney that was used in the institution; magnificent story btw. The coins from Noordwijkerhout are marked 'SB'
The link to Delpher cannot be posted,so simply go to Delpher.nl to prompt Sint Bavo Noordwijkerhout , one article will show. (the one with the coins.) To go back to the core-question , however, 'Historical_medical_records,...well, basically impossible given the privacy for patients and the nature of their pathology ; even their admission would be denied,by the institution.Difficult case to stay on topic , but probably rather interesting for Van Helsdingen. (the Delpher part)
