@Edie Veronin I have an idea for the place listed on the note from the 1859 tax list! I think it's Вокресенка (Vokresenka) which was located in the Aleksandrapol district (uyezd). [see entry 1238 -- http://elib.shpl.ru/ru/nodes/16738-t-5-spiski-naselennyh-mest-kavkazskogo-kraya-ch-1-gubernii-erivanskaya-kutaisskaya-bakinskaya-i-stavropolskaya-i-terskaya-oblast-1880#mode/inspect/page/101/zoom/8] There were Molokans [Мол.] living there!
Additional tax lists for this place are available on FamilySearch. 1852 tax records for Вокресенка start on FHL microfilm 1915270, image 92. (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSMZ-HQMD-2?i=91&cat=684853)
**The title page for the beginning of this little collection of towns says it's for the Bambak sub district, which looks like the bit following Вокресенка in your 1859 note. (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSMZ-HQMD-2?i=91&cat=684853)

Yes, I can see the name of the place that is pronounced Vokresenka in the 1859 registry image I have. I wonder if I should look in the next earlier registry to see if I can find my Shubin family there
