Help with translation
This is a christening record. I believe it says Christen Laursen og ??? Christensdatters Barn I Hjuelt. The mother's name has been rendered by some as Marie, but the writer doesn't make his other M's this way. Also, I think the place should be Hjulet (the wheel). There is such as place in this parish Tårs sogn, Borglum amt (changed to Hjørring the next year), Danmark.
Can someone transcribe the mother's name and weigh in on the place name.
The record is at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-9944-2NGJ?i=194&cc=2078555 . The date is February 13, 1793. Thanks! John

You may already have this but another child appears in 1791 and to your point the first character of the mother's name looks less like an M.

The introduction of the mother after Christen's baptism (next page) looks more clearly like Marie so that would be my recommendation.
The place doesn't look like Hjulet to me, but I haven't found a place like "Hyvelt" or "Hyrelt" anywhere.

@dwhull I appreciate your work on this. I did not know about the other child in 1791. In the birth record of that year, I don't think the mother's name looks like Marie either. Do you? It does look like it starts with an M in the introduction entry, but the letter that follows doesn't look much like an "a".
The place name is consistent for all three entries. I'll need to look harder for it. I suppose it's probably a farm name.

It is fascinating, there is a Scandinavian handwriting help on family search that shows the following versions of the letter "a". The third from the right may look something like the mothers introduction letter after the "M". As far as the place, I have wanted badly to find and learn to use a Danish gazetteer, but have failed so far. I saw "Hyvelt" in one search via google but could not find anymore than the name (second from the end).

krabsens.dk is an authoritative place name database which helps a lot. But having a way to look at place names surrounding a known place is very helpful. I use what's on familysearch.org, e.g. https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Tårs_Parish,_Hjørring,_Denmark_Genealogy which you probably already know about. Again, thanks for your help!!
