I hope you don't mind if I begin with a general comment: with requests like this always(!) a reference (e.g. the parish) should be given. Whilst in this case the writing is easy to read, with more difficult handwritings it is often essential to know the place to be sure e.g. about family or place names.
Now for the birth record:
22 September [1871] ein ehelicher Gottlieb, geboren 27 August, obiit (died) 1871, Dezemb. 26.
P[arentes]
Samuel Wodtli, Hans Jakobs sel. (son of the late Hans Jakob), von Niederwÿl, Lumpenhändler (ragman), hier in der Steingaß;
Marianna Niggli, Samuels sel., von Aarburg.
kop. (married) 1864 Dezbr. 13.
T[estes] (godparents)
Johannes Brändli, Evangelist (preacher), in Langenthal (https://search.ortsnamen.ch/de/record/802000329/);
Kaspar Egli, Evangelist, in Langenthal;
Jgfr. (Jungfrau = virgin) Maria Geiser, Rains Meili (wife of Rain... Meili?), von und in hier.
And the death record:
26 Dezember [1871] Morgens (in the morning) 2 Uhr.[old] 2 Monat 29 Tag. [buried] 29 Dezember.
Wodtli, Gottlieb, ehel. Knäblein (legitimate young boy) des Samuel und der Marianna Niggli, von Niederwÿl, an der Steingaß, starb ab Auszehrung (died from consumption / cachexia).
Finally some bad news: the community platform has been re-programmed again - into a format where I cannot enter a comment - and consequently cannot respond to questions - from my "genealogy computer". I would have to move to another system - so quite likely this will be my last post :-(.
