what is her name? What is the last name of the parents? Do you know the names of the adopted parents? Was she adopted through an agency? Private adoption? DHS? church?

James, please give us details, as x24mom suggests. Also, have you searched for your neice in the past? If so, what were the obstacles you faced?

James, Ohio is a great state for adoptees and birth families. I hope that you will be able to find your niece, but it will probably be easier if an immediate family member applies for the adoption file. Are your niece's parents interested in finding their daughter?
Does your niece have any siblings that are interested in finding her?
Her parents and her siblings can apply for adoption information:

Hi, James...Using the names of the birth parents and the year the child was born, have you checked Kentucky newspapers for a birth announcement? Sometimes, a hospital will put out the birth announcement before realizing an adoption is going to take place.
