Finding records for India relatives
How do I go about finding records for my parents. The only thing I have is the full name of my mother and a partial name for my father. I have tried like FamilySearch, Ancestry hoping to get something, but nothing is coming up. I have researched FamilySearch Wiki page as well.

@jghramm That is very difficult if you only have names. Do you have an estimate of any dates? Do you have a birth certificate? Siblings? Aunts or Uncles? Anyone else who may be able to give you even the tiniest details that will help you get started? Where were you born? Do you have any indication at all about where your parents live in India?

yes this is very difficult with just names only. I was an orphaned from 1 1/2 months. I do not have a birth certificate. I do not know if I have any siblings, aunts or uncles. I was born in Bombay (Mumbai), India. I do not have any clue of where my parents lived in India.

@jghramm that does make it very hard!
What all have you looked at in the FamilySearch Wiki? Have you clicked on every link to explore and learn about research in India? That is what I always suggest to people. I have been able to find so much information that way, by clicking on everything and studying. There are great resources in the "getting started" section, as well as amazing resources on the far right of the page under "Local Research Resources."
Since you are looking for records that might help an orphan, those Archives and Libraries in India might be your best opportunity. There is even a Family History Center in Mumbai.
There are a few records in the FamilySearch Catalog for Bombay, India. Have you looked there as well? Mostly it is information, but there are a few church records. Have you used the catalog before? Under "Search" in the top of the page menu, click on "Catalog" and enter "Bombay" in the Place field.
Also, did you know there is a Community Group called "Adoption and Unknown Family Research"? You might try asking on that site as well.
