Decipher Adelsheim Record and Define Hofbauer
Hi,
Can you help me decipher this? It's the parents from a birth/baptism record in Adelsheim, Germany in 1877. I know the names of the parents, Christian Meister and Magdalena Brand, but what is Christian's occupation? If you need to see the entire record, the document is a source for id G8JF-N4X (I love having the ids :), "1884 Img: Lina Auguste Meister 1884 Birth Bapt in Adelsheim".
(1) I'm getting conflicting definitions for "hofbauer". Exactly what type of farmer is a hofbauer?
(2) I see that he was "hofbauer" but what is after that and before the mother, Magdalena?
(3) Can you also help to translate those who attended, their occupations and locations? I have
3a) Reinhold Meister, farmer in Reichertshausen. I think that may be William Reinhold Meister, id 9VS3-WF3.
3b) Christian ? in ?
3c) ? Brand, ?
3d) ? born Meister von Möckmühl, ??
3e) ?? Reinhold Brand in Langenbeutingen.
Thank you for your help.

Pls see below my transcription of the record:
[1st column] Christian Meister, Hofbauer auf dem Waidachshofe, und Magdalena geb. Brand
[2nd column] Reinhold Meister, Bauer in Reichartshausen, Christian Siegrist, Küfer (cooper) in Eicholzheim, und dessen Ehefrau Christiane geb. Brand. Frau Maria? F_bri? geb. Meister von Möckmühl, Friedrike Reichert geb. Brand von Langenbeutingen.
[3rd column] Im Hause (at home)
[below the entry] T. R. Eberhardt Pfr. (pastor)
I can't give you an exact definition of "Hofbauer". The meaning may have changed over time and depending on the region. The word is a combination of "Bauer" (farmer) and "Hof" (farm, farmstead). It is not clear to me if the "Hofbauer" was always the owner of the land ("Hof") or could be just the manager.
