I am attaching a file with the information I have, so you can see what I know and don't know.

The search starts with my 3rd great-grandmother:

B:30 Dec 1814 Saint Sauveur, Haute Saone, Franche-Comte, France

Hi Joan,

I don't have a filae subscription at the moment so it's hard for me to search for French records. Can you tell me what your sources are for this info? None of the sources I'm seeing on ancestry give her maiden name, parents' names, or date or place of birth and if you calculate her date of birth from the age on her headstone you get Dec. 13, 1815 which is different from the date you've provided. So I'm not clear on which info you're certain of, for example from family oral tradition that isn't online, or what is speculative.

That being said IF you are certain she was born on Dec. 30, 1814, in Saint-Sauveur, then I found her birth record in the departmental archives for Haute Saone here http://archives.haute-saone.fr/ark:/77977/vtad94d3fb9df8b72f6/daogrp/0/layout:table/idsearch:RECH_f884c0908dea5c30ed714073c7e3b877#id:1628226411?gallery=true&brightness=100.00&contrast=100.00&center=1087.454,-1971.877&zoom=8&rotation=0.000 (on page 29) and it definitely says her parents are Francois Jeandesboz age 37 and his wife Anne Leverey age 37. So either the marriage record you found is for a different Francois Jeandesboz, or he was married first to someone else who died and then he remarried Anne Leverey (maybe in a different area or maybe his name was mistranscribed on filae and that's why you can't find his marriage record to Anne Leverey).

Lauren - thanks for looking at this. I have been mainly searching on Filae for records, so I am sure I have some wrong.

I have used Ancestry, MyHertiage, FamilySearch and Geneanet.

But the records I find are mainly in Filae.

You have the birth record for her that I found too, so I think we have that one correct.

I will look again tomorrow, and will recheck my sources.

Lauren, I have rechecked again, my records. I have found some dates on gravestones in the US are incorrect - both in birthdate and death date. That is why I look at other sources, specifically in France, to try to determine birth dates.

I am still searching to see if I can find a marriage record for Joséphine Honoré JEANDESBOZ's parents.

I think we can confirm, Anne Claude LEVREY is the mother, but who are her parents?

I have Pierre François LEVREY and Anne Françoise Boudinot, with no other information.

Any sources you have that can confirm this?

The reason I asked for your sources was that I wasn't seeing any information that would link Josephine wife of François Xavier Chaon born about 1814, to that specific birth record, so I was assuming you had some information that wasn't online about her maiden name or place of birth. However, now I'm seeing that Chaon is a rare enough surname that it's probably safe to assume the marriage record for François Xavier Chaon and Joséphine Jeandesboz belongs to them even without any additional information about their parents or origins.

Moving forward with that assumption...yes, these are Anne Levrey's parents, which her death record, with husband's name listed, confirms. Here it is, along with her baptismal record (second to last on the right page, baptized May 3, 1778).

As to where the Jeandesboz/Levrey marriage record is, I couldn't tell you...it may have been destroyed or improperly indexed, or it may not have been indexed yet. I don't know if filae's civil registration collection is 100% complete yet, since my family's records from the Hautes-Pyrénées only made it on there about a year ago.
