Hello Jolie,
Comments: Many of the names in this record are written in inverted order, that is: last name, first name. I have written all names in the usual order (first name, last name) for easier reading.
The mayor of Schieren also served as the civil registrar. You will note the word "us" several times in this translation and this refers to the mayor/civil registrar.
A ? means I am not sure of the name.
Translation:
In the left margin: Number 9. Catherine Beringer, died the 29th of May.
In the year 1851, on the 29th of the month of May at 7 o'clock in the evening appeared before us, the mayor, civil registrar of the community of Schieren, Canton Diekirch, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Pierre Hilles?, farmer in Schieren, age 69 years, neighbor of the deceased, and Dominik Thilmany, age 39 years, schoolteacher in Schieren, who reside in this community.
These [two people] have explained to us that Catherine Beringer, without occupation, age 69 years, born in Pretten in Canton Mersch, daughter of Pierre Beringer and Elisabet Samens?, former/late spouses and day laborers in Schieren, is deceased/died today at 2:00 pm in the afternoon in house no. [blank], [blank] street; and who, the present act having been read aloud to them [i.e., the two informants] beforehand, signed with us.
[signatures: Petter Hilles? | Thilmany | [signature of the mayor/civil registrar]

@ChristoffersenJolie We are so glad you have joined our German community - It is a great place to get help and to help others! We have a lot of talented, experienced participants here.
Most of the time, it is best to use "ask a question" - do this by selecting the arrow to the right of "new discussion". Asking a question allows you to accept the answer or let us know you would like more help.
Be sure to review the links at the top of our community page for some great resources. We look forward to hearing from you. We are so glad you are part of this great community!
Thanks for being patient as we sometimes must wait for a response to come from a volunteer with the needed skill set. It is always good if you include the identification number of the person in question in Family Search Family Tree so we can see the bigger picture.
We look forward to your comments and questions.
Enjoy today! Cindy Jarvis
