looking for more info on my grandfather Matyas Koller in Nagyganna (Ganna) born 1910
hoping to identify his parents/birth record/ address, etc. He emigrated to the united states in 1922. He lived in the Bronx. The naturalization papers say he was from Nagyganna which is Ganna in Veszprem County. Family Search has RC church records up to 1895 but no birth civil registration records for Ganna. Only marriages and deaths.

Per the official gazetteer, Nagy- and Kis-Ganna (Greater- and Lesser-G.) were combined into Ganna in 1940.
The 1913 gazetteer indicates that the civil registry office was in Pápakovácsi for both villages. The 1898 edition says the same thing.

Parents of Mátyás were Vendel Koller and Mária Brunner, and they were married in 1907; Vendel is marked "wid.". His previous wife was Mária Stenger, who died earlier in 1907, of TB. Vendel died in 1916, of a stroke.
The civil registrations include one birth and two deaths for children from Vendel's prior marriage. (Mária died Feb 1896, age 11 months; Terézia born Jan 1897, died Jan 1897.)
The civil registrations record no children besides Mátyás for Vendel and Mária Brunner.
