Does the find-a-grave website list graveyards for India?
It lists graves for potentially anywhere in the world.
just depends on what Findagrave volunteers are doing for that area of the world
(it is not based on official death records) - other than the existance of a grave - and even that doesnt require proof.

I personally use BillionGraves and love to photograph the gravestones. I just checked out their site and saw that they have already added many of the cemeteries and cremation grounds in India by state and city BUT I couldn't see any photographs yet (at least where I looked). I think that means that we all need to go to India and in our free time we need to photograph the gravestones. It uses data and puts a gps coordinate on the gravestone and automatically synchs with FamilySearch. Check it out wherever you are now. Pull up Billion graves and search the nearest cemetery. I was just in Virginia for a funeral and while at the cemetery saw it hadn't been photographed yet. I photographed about 300 gravestones in about an hour. Depending on where you are from there is a huge need especially outside the United States. Some Eagle Scouts do it as a project but anyone can download the app and do it. NOTE: You need data to upload but you can wait to upload until you are on wifi.
One other thing you can do on Billion Graves is request someone take a photo of a gravestone in a certain place. I just got on an Indian site I am on and asked people to go take photos..... It is definitely a group effort. what I do may help your family research and what you do may help mine.
