Cause of death
It's harder to read on the image, a little easier if you have access to Archion to zoom in. Do you think the cause of death for records 3, 6, 8 & 9 is Schäuerchen? Would that be epilepsy? Thank you.

Hello @ccr1107,
Yes, I agree with you that the word is: Schäuerchen.
Thode defines this as: tooth (shooting) pains; epilepsy.
Given that these are mostly children under the age of 1 year, "epilepsy" could mean convulsions.

You're welcome, @ccr1107.
I missed the fact that one of the children was actually 1 year and 23 days old (having initially missed the "1 year"). I have edited my original response to reflect this but the overall response is still the same.
FYI: There's also an illness called "Zahnfieber" = teething fever. Given Thode's definition and the ages of at least some of these children, the teething aspect of "Schäuerchen" might also apply here.
I recently translated a record where "Zahnfieber" was the cause of death for an infant.

@Robert Seal_1 Thank you, I agree with your assessment. The children probably had convulsions and were at the age of teething. Looks like that was a common practice at the time.
