New Home Page - Record Hints vs Feed
How customizable is the new home page layout going to be? As someone who is going through their family tree to add missing records and such the new design is easier to used in my case. I can see for users who don't need record hints and would rather see the feed (original design) this might not be preferred. Allowing users to toggle between the two views or have a customized workplace on the home page may help resolve this. Of course all is easier said than done, I don't know what developers have to work with and how difficult that is to implement for this site.

I do prefer this New Home Page compared to the old version. I liked the fact that the tools I'm using the most (suggested documents and suggested ordinances) are the focus of the page, and not announcements or things I barely ever read or look at.
It made my life much easier!
It also looks livelier and friendlier as a whole.

Moving "Record Hints" as few as they are to another page made it hard and difficult to locate them. I had to click on several options indicated for the move before my family hints appeared. I thought the two customized fields for family hints on the Home Page was visible and easy to locate. Should I choose to read and react to the other information on the Home Page I could as my leisure without losing my family search information that was provided. I prefer that "Family Record Hints" remain on the Main Page.

As someone who loves to look through the memories added to my family tree and my biggest focus when doing family history is finding and adding memories to my tree. I am frustrated with the new home page because it is more of a hassle to get to Family Feed. I am also a consultant and I work with those who have never logged in before and it is a great starting point for research because you get a small glimpse into your family as soon as you log in. Even if it was just a widget on the home page it would be better than where it currently is.
