Critical error - linker over-editing

I work more on the mobile app than on a PC these days. But this morning, I was working on my home computer — and using the new source linker. What should have been a simple transaction attaching one source to a single profile was instead handled as a full reworking of the entire family. I had not noticed such sweeping over-editing before today. Please review. Such unintended sweeping editing is unacceptable. I cannot use the new editor if that is the cause of this extra relationship destruction.

Thank you for your post about Robert Thompson McGuinnis and his family. We are concerned that the attaching of a source would cause a reorder of relationships in a family. I have reported the issue to the engineers and they will review the case.
