hi my name is Darci and im a new member my grandfather comes from forres morayshire scotland. trying to learn all about his family
In Scotland, the main sources for family history are:
My advice is to firstly look for a 1911 census entry (assuming he was born before then) and a birth and/or marriage record for your grandfather. Births are publicly available only after 100 years, and marriages after 75 years.
ScotlandsPeople (https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/) is the official website of the National Records of Scotland (NRS) archive, and the only website that has the original images of censuses and statutory registers. However it has a "pay per view" subscription model. FamilySearch and several other websites have more limited indexes and transcriptions of those records, without additional charges.
Let me know if you have any further questions. I wish you good luck with your search.

Just in passing ...
Just so that you are aware ...
As well at this 'Group', of "British Isles Family History Research", in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, there is ALSO one; specifically, for Scotland, with some 'Resources'.
Here is a link to that 'Group':

I saw your new question giving some more details about your family.
I found on Ancestry.com a 1901 Scotland census entry that looks like it is of your family. This family consists of George and Mary Walker living in Forres, Morayshire, with 8 children. The 7th child is William, born c.1895 and a scholar [student]. There is also a niece Mary Robb.
I'm not sure the link below will work, but here it is anyway:
It was very common in Scotland for children to receive their mother's or grandmother's maiden name as a middle name. The surname of both William and George is Walker (not Robb Walker). Mary's maiden name may have been Robb.
My suggestion now is to try and find both a birth for William, and a marriage for George and Mary. You definitely want to view the image of the marriage at ScotlandsPeople, as it will mention both parents of each of the bride and groom.
As before, I remain available to provide further help or advice if you would like it.
