I am a Greek genealogist. You must know his full, original surname in Greek, and his exact village of origin in order to search for records in Greece. There is no central database in Greece where you can type in a name and see what comes up. I am attaching a document that I use in lectures, "Using US Records to Find the Original Surname and Village of Origin". Please search in all the documents listed. When you have determined the original surname and village, then you can contact repositories in Greece to search for information there.
