I am Elizabeth Rudzite Holmes, son James E Holmes Jr. Very excited to be in this group. Three famil
Olga and Luwise resided in Riga. Emigrated through Denmark to Chicago, 1918. My father was born in Chicago 1920. His father was Fredrich Rudzitis, a boxer. He disappeared before Robert was two years of age.
Their Church: evangelical, Lutheran or Evangelical Lutheran.
They moved from Chicago, then settled in Tacoma Washington where there was a Latvian Community. My father never knew other Latvian family relatives.
When I was 11 or 12 years old, my parents received a letter from California who claimed to be Rudzitis and said my fathers real name was Fredrick Barry Rudzitis. However, having been exposed to Russian persecution my father was afraid to answer back.

My father was contacted by a Rudzitis family in California when I was 10 or 11. They said his true name was Fredrick Barry Rudzitis. My father was afraid to answer them.

Hello Elizabeth Rudzite Holmes,
My name is Andris Priekuns and have been researching names from Latvia.
There is 'one' RUDZITIS name in my Family History. Sadly no first name or birth/death year - just the surname.
He was though, married to a Teofilija Kornellija Rooks, as the first of three husbands.
Teofilija was born 28 August 1909.
If Teofilija's name my be in your Family tree, I would much appreciate some correspondence with you.
I have researched a few RUDZITIS names from various sources that might interest you.
If you have a RUDZITIS name that you are researching, I might have some information that could assist your research. Hopefully we might be able to assist each other - either way, I'm happy to share what I have.
Sincerely, Andris Priekuns (Sydney, Australia).
