Have you tried the website by the Government of Ireland:
Irish Genealogy
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/
.
IF, not; THEN, give it a go ...
.
The website is FREE including access; viewing; and, downloading, of any "Images" of associated Records.
.
The 'link' to that; and, the 'links' to many other websites, can be found on the 'right-hand-side' of this 'Group'.
.
Good Luck.

What religion were they? Since irishgenealogy.ie does not start until 1845 for Protestants or 1864 for Catholics. For Catholics this is link to Glenfisk Parish--https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0671. They are not indexed. You might need to consult FindMyPast.com and Ancestry.com and RootsIreland.ie for those earlier dates. I say all three because sites of the different search tools it's important to check all of them. FindMyPast.com has indexed the Catholic parish records. What records do you already have?

Thanks, Brett. I'll take a look. I'm new to Irish research. All my kin are from England, but trying to help out a friend.
Update: no luck

Ali - The family is Catholic. The oldest child I can find for Dennis and Mary is Johanna b: 1825. I've looked on FMP and Ancestry. Also RootsIreland.ie. Thanks (I think, ha ha!) for the link to the Glenfisk PRs. They will be a challenge to look at but perhaps I will be able to sort things out in time. Appreciate your help.

If you could not find them in the indexed records on those sites you will have to go image by image through the National Library of Ireland Catholic Parish records. At least there's records for those early dates! Good luck!

irishgenealogy.ie has mostly civil records. Civil non-Catholic marriages started in 1845 and births, deaths and Catholic marriages in 1864. It's collections of civil records are virtually complete aside for records old enough to be published. It has only a very limited set of church records- see the website for details.

The records at the National Library of Ireland of Glenflesk marriages only go back to 1831. So if they married in that parish you won't find them if their oldest child was born 1825. The indexed records on FMP and Ancestry are based on the NLI images.
